Dearest Ronnie and Family,

  Let me begin by saying, Kathy was the most "Godly Woman" I've ever known. She drew you into her way of believing in Jesus that no other one could have or even would have tried to do. 
Our story,  of how a Friendship begins was so unusual but TRUELY a Friendship that will surpass an Eternity. God, in his infinite wisdom brought us together thru a game on Facebook. Immediately we became "fast friends", sharing phone numbers and talking for hours upon hours. It wasn't long after that Kathy drove to Houston and we met face to face over a Luncheon Date. She revealed Her heart was so heavy concerning the incarceration of her youngest Son, Donnie. He was about to be released. I offered her and  her family a place to stay at my home. That's when I met Ronnie, Brian and Angie. 
Kathy had been talking about a Group of Women that she belonged to called Kiaros Outside. She explained their involvement with Women who had ties to Inmates and she was their Leader that year. A weekend Retreat was in the planning stages. Not in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would be invited as her guest, I helped her plan some of the activities. I met some wonderful women, Kathy's friend, Tenya "T" for one,  as I attended this Retreat.
 Kathy's illness, I believe, began during this time.
 My Life was Changed and it was all a result of a friendship that brought us together in a very unusual way. 
So my motto now is " Let Go and Let God"!  Look at the Beautiful Person and Life that I had the privilege of being a small part of, Moudie Katherine Stephens.

Kathy, my dear sweet friend. How am I gonna find the words to say what your friendship has meant to me? We met at the exact time that God intended for us to meet. We both needed that special person in our lives. Kairos Prison Ministry brought us together because of our Love for Jesus. How wonderful this blessing has been over the past few years. I am sad that you are gone, but I know that you were ready whenever God needed you with him. Don't forget to meet Vicki and myself at the Heavenly Gate when he calls us home too. I will help Ronnie and Donnie, don't you worry yourself. They are family to me as you were my sister. Gonna miss our singing together, and laughing, but most our quiet prayer times. Gonna try to get that cross erected for anyone to come and pray just like you wanted. Say hi and hug my brother and my son, Casey will even dance with you, and Mark  will take ya fishin. Til we meet again, always my best friend and sister in Christ. I love you!
