

Neva Joyce Baggett, known as “Meme” to most, 93, of Iowa Park, peacefully passed away in her home on March 28th, 2025. Celebration of life will be Wednesday, April 2nd at 10:00 am at Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, 300 E Cash St, Iowa Park, Texas.
Joyce was born in Temple, TX to Cleveland Charles Paulk and Lorena Mae Paulk on September 3, 1931. Joyce married Billy Joe “Sam” Baggett on August 20, 1949, and was married for 64 years. In those years, they had two sons, Joe Kirk Baggett of Iowa Park and Charles Jay Baggett of Iowa park. She enjoyed over 30+ years at “The Shopper” newspaper as a graphic designer, embracing her creativity throughout her time there. Joyce had the biggest heart and took in numerous friends that her sons brought home throughout the years and loved them as her own- most specifically Billy Link, Ken Locklear and Steven “Odie” Webb. She welcomed everyone with open arms. She loved big- especially her grandkids and great grandkids.
Joyce is preceded in death by her husband Billy Joe “Sam” Baggett, her mother Lorena Mae Paulk, father Cleveland Charles Paulk.
She is survived by her sons Joe Kirk Baggett, Charles Jay Baggett and wife Kelly, sister in law and her very best friend Peggy Baggett, sister in law Faye Vance, grandchildren Kelsey Foley and husband Trevor, Kelsey Wilson and husband Tyler, great grandchildren Karter, Kendal and Kopelyn Foley, Everlee Wilson, and the family she considered hers, Steven Webb, Tyler and wife Stormi Webb and their children Weston and Waylon Webb, Tiffany Parker and her children Karsyn and Jaiden Fletcher and Aydah Parker. She is also survived by a few distant cousins and numerous people she loved and who loved her.
