Roberta Jones

Nov. 10, 1941 – Jan. 23, 2011

Bobbie Jones, a long time resident of Iowa Park for 38 years, died Sunday, January 23, 2011 at United Regional Hospital with her family by her side.

Bobbie was born to Joseph and Mercedes Zubiate in Pasadena, California. Her parents preceded her in death.

Survived by her husband, Donald Ray Jones of 38 years. They were married on June 16, 1973 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

She was previously married to Charles Kenneth Howard, which resulted in 6 children.

All surviving children and family members are Priscilla and Husband Gerald Shaffer of Lobelville, Tennessee, Danny and wife Joyce Howard of Houston, Texas, Lisa and husband, Mike Reece of Corydon, Iowa, John and wife Dawn Howard of Bedford, Texas, Carmen and husband Paul Hornberger of Allen, Texas and Lenora and husband, Armando Vilca of Carrollton, Texas. Her sisters and brothers are Patricia and husband, Gene Grob of New Mexico, Thomas and wife Ana Zubiate of California, Tina and husband, Ray Ford of South Carolina, JR and wife Marsha Stevens of Virginia, Jeffrey and wife, Mary Ann Stevens of Virginia, Mercy and husband, James Higgins of Louisiana.

She is blessed with 21 grand children, numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary with the Iowa Park Fire Department.

Bobbie was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 27, 2011 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside Services will be held Friday, January 28, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Cemetery in Iowa Park.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimers Association.
