Sandra Sue Carter Kiser

Funeral services celebrating Sue’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 9, 2012, at Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park, Texas, with Rev. Dennis Neal of Faith Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park.

Sue was born May 21, 1945 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She married Henry Kiser, her husband of 50 years, on November 1, 1961, in Wichita Falls. For more than 20 years Sue operated a day care center for children and continued to remain close to those children. In 1995 she went to work for the State Hospital and retired from there in October, 2009. Sue loved cooking and family gatherings, and her top priority was her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Myrtle Carter, two brothers, Bobby Carter and Jerry Carter, and a sister, Becky Ablia.

Survivors include her husband, Henry, of Iowa Park; four sons, Jeff of Williamsburg, Ohio, Shawn and partner, Doug, of Plano, TX, Scott and wife, Judy, of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Jason and wife, Ashley, of Iowa Park; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Billy Joe Carter and wife, Mickie, and Mark Carter and wife, Phyllis, all of Iowa Park; two sisters, Patsy Howell and husband, James, and Carolyn Black and husband, Roy; a sister-in-law, Pat Carter of Nocona, Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation with family and friends will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday evening, March 8, 2012, in the Chapel of Dutton Funeral Home.
