Sondra LaVoy Jackson

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Miller, Mr. Joe Howard Williamson and Mrs. Donna Wells officiating. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Sondra was born October 30, 1939 in Graham, Texas to the late Oris and Edna (Reeves) Davenport. She and Delton Jackson were married April 14, 1962 in Farmington, New Mexico. She owned and operated Derby Jack Store at FM369 and Old Iowa Park Highway for several years. She was a member of Backdoor Theatre, den mother for the Boy Scouts and was active with the Burkburnett Riding Club and local rodeos. At one time she also had a newspaper. Sondra loved to do art work drawing and painting. She was also a member of the Cowboy Church at Henrietta.

Her parents and two sons Gavin and Garin Jackson preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, Delton of Iowa Park; niece, Julie Tennant of Graham, Texas; brother, Gary Davenport of Texarkana, Texas and an uncle and aunt, Clinton and Juanita Reeves of Newcastle, Texas.

The family suggests memorials to the Cowboy Church of Henrietta, Texas.
