Susie Retta Wood Beisch, a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great- Grandmother, and Great Great-Grandmother left us for her heavenly home early in the morning of Saturday, July 12, 2025. She was born on January 2, 1936, to George and Marion Wood in Holliday, Texas.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at the Pavilion at Highland Cemetery in Iowa Park, Texas. Visitation will be Monday, July 21, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas.
Susie spent her early childhood in Alvord, Texas, later moving to rural Valley View, Texas when she was in the third grade. She attended Valley View School where she graduated from Valley View High School in 1954. Susie married her husband of 43 years, Ervin E. Beisch, on May 4, 1956, in Kamay, Texas. She lived most of her life in the Valley View area where she farmed and ranched with her husband.
Susie is survived by her daughter, Rae Nell Beisch Stewart and husband, Bob. Granddaughters, Amanda Lachelle Beisch Pressler and husband, Larry; Ashley C. Stewart Oliver and husband, Jesse. Grandson, Ervin E. Beisch III (Tres) and wife, Maria (Mia). Great- grandsons, Dyllan Cole Radford and wife, Maranda; Parker Lynn Berry; Sawyer James Oliver; and Alexander Pressler. Great-granddaughters, Camryn Leigh Beisch and Haxdyn Pressler. Great, great-grandsons, Layne Matthew Nelson, and Kanyan Clay Radford. Great, great-granddaughter, Oaklynn June Radford. She is also survived by daughter-in-law, Cynthia K. Beisch Blair; one sister, Carolyn Smith, and two brothers, John Wood and Loyd Wood as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by husband, Ervin E. Beisch and son, Ervin E. Beisch Jr. (Butch). Also preceding her in death was one brother, George Wood; and five sisters, Marion Gregg, Lou Campbell, Betty Bradberry, Anna Dowell, and Kathleen Shook.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Healing Hands Hospice of Wichita Falls, Texas, or Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park, Texas.
She was loved and will be missed and remembered by family and friends who knew her.
