

Virgil Lee Walker, 85, of Wichita Falls, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 1, 2015 in his daughter’s home. A private service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park.
Virgil was born on February 11, 1930 in Walters, Oklahoma to Virgil Lee and Ila Mae Walker. After finishing his schooling in Oklahoma, he settled into his career as a consulting petroleum engineer. He was a proud father who adored his kids and grandkids.
Virgil is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Fred Brown.
Surviving relatives include his adoring wife, Zina; 5 sons, Sgt. Daniel Boyd of Sicily, Italy; Randy Walker and his wife, Charlotte of San Antonio, Texas; Glynn Black and his wife, Suzie of La Porte, Texas; Lynn Black and his wife, Meredith of Plano, Texas; and Edward Boyd, Sr. of Wichita Falls, Texas; 2 daughters, Mercedes Jones and her husband, Terry of Wichita Falls, Texas; and Leesa Renea Boyd and her fiancé, Bryce Cross of Iowa Park, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; and many friends.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Hospice of Wichita Falls and their amazing staff as well as the wonderful staff at Dutton Funeral Home.
