

Wanda Mae Singer, 98, of Iowa Park, Texas, passed away on March 14, 2026. Born September 3, 1927, in Floydada, Texas, Wanda was the daughter of Zelma Blakeley Nichols and Bee Nichols. She was a devoted and gracious woman whose life reflected steady faith, deep love for family, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
Wanda graduated from Marshall High School in May of 1946. She later attended Texas Wesleyan University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in music and voice, a foundation that remained a meaningful part of her life.
On August 19, 1950, Wanda married Joe Singer in Fort Worth, Texas. They shared a long and faithful marriage until Joe’s passing in 2020.
Wanda was a member of a Southern Baptist church, where she served as a WMU Sunday school teacher. She was also involved with the 23 Study Club of Iowa Park, reflecting her consistent commitment to learning, fellowship, and community.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Singer, and one son, Mike Singer. She is survived by her daughter, Teri Hammonds; her son, Tony Singer and his wife, Heather; and one granddaughter, JJ.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on March 21, 2026, at Dutton Funeral Home, 300 East Cash Street, Iowa Park, TX 76367.
Wanda’s final resting place will be Highland Cemetery, 826 Rogers Rd, Iowa Park.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church of Iowa Park and the Tom Burnett Memorial Library of Iowa Park, Texas.
