Willie Ruth “Ruthie” Morrison, 79, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Monday, December 8, 2014 at Hillside Baptist Church in Electra, Texas with Rev. Robert Maxwell, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will follow at the New Electra Cemetery in Electra, Texas under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1 PM to 2 PM at the church.
Ruthie was born April 12, 1935 in Corsicana, Texas to Luther and Artie (Ellis) Marlow. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW and was a member of Hillside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Morrison; her parents; and two brothers, Lionel and Clifton “Cleo” Marlow.
Surviving relatives include her brother, Don Marlow of Bowie, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
