Anna was born in Sevierville, Tennessee on February 9, 1940, to Dorothy and Ernest Reagan. She was the oldest daughter of their seven children. She moved to Columbia, SC at the age of 14 and graduated from Columbia High School in 1958. Upon graduating she went to work for Belk’s in Columbia, SC. She was also a member of the USO and loved to dance. This is where she met her beloved husband John Lober (D) in 1960 when he was stationed at Fort Jackson. They married on December 29, 1960 and at the time of his death in January of this year, had been married 62 years.
Anna was a mother of three children; Jonathon Lober, Melissa Mathia, and Amelia Eakin (Jeff). She was a minister’s wife for 10 years. She rejoined the workforce as an office manager for Crockett Welding and retired in 2004 as the head of accounting for the local office of Linde AG. Anna was a gifted seamstress who enjoyed sewing for family and friends, an avid reader who enjoyed taking her children and grandchildren to the library, and a big proponent of education. She was thrilled to be able to attend university classes in 1975 and always encouraged others to never stop learning.
One of her biggest delights in life was spending time with family. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was a woman of strong faith and member of Hope Lutheran Church in Irmo, SC for over 20 years.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased in death by her beloved husband Reverend John A. Lober. She is survived by her son Jonathan Lober of Columbia, SC, her daughter Melissa (Lober) Mathia of Columbia, SC, her daughter Amelia (Lober) Eakin (Jeff) of Greenwood SC, 8 grandchildren; Megan Brovan, Heather Brovan, Brian Brovan (Kasey), Eli Eakin, Eleanor Lober, Isaac Lober, Journey Lober, AJ Lober, and 4 great-grandchildren; Castiel Mcallister, Clara Grace Brovan, Noah Brovan, and Jagger Mcallister, her 6 siblings and their families, and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
