Ann Carol Schaldenbrand, 62, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 with her family by her side. A private Celebration of Life will be held. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, is assisting the family.
Born in Winchester, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of the late John J. Riley, Jr. and Diana Wedel Riley. She and her husband, Gregory, celebrated their 29th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday, December 30, 2017. Ann Carol was a graduate of the University of New Hampshire where she received her Bachelor of Arts in English before attending and graduating from the Medical University of South Carolina as a Registered Nurse. She worked for 18 years providing comfort and care for those in need. Having grown up in New England, Ann Carol had a true love of the coast. Throughout her life, she enjoyed collecting sea glass along with anything antique. She was a dedicated wife and was always proud of her children. Her heart grew even larger with the births of her grandchildren. Her favorite and most pleasurable pastime was spending time with them. Ann Carol also loved her Ragdoll Kittens. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to those who knew her.
In addition to her husband, Greg, she is survived by her children, Eleanor Fulmer (Ronnie Fulmer, Jr.), Rose Murray (John Murray), Isaac Cushing (Julia), and Anna Schaldenbrand. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Katie, Caleb, Trey, Jesse, Bella, Corinne, Riley, Avery, Julian, Ellie; sister, Helen Nicholson; and brothers, John Riley and Peter Riley.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.

AC and I were pals for 2 years at UNH Durham. We spent quite a bit of time at each others familly homes especially in Lynnfield and the beach house in Seabrook. Doing things we should have thought about for longer than a couple of seconds was the norm. Thumbing back and forth to the Stone Church in Newmarket on weekends was not unusual, go figure.
Her smile and easy nature has been with me my whole life as a major endearment. I've thought about her often over the years, I just wish we had re-conected in our later lives.
My sympathy for the entire familly is heavy on my heart, I'm so sorry for your loss.
