A Memorial Service for Barbara Parker Conger, 74, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2015 at Salem United Methodist Church. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo, is assisting the family. Mrs. Conger passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015. Born in Monroe, NC, she was a daughter of the late Robert Lee Parker and Elizabeth Smith Parker. She was the wife of the late Thomas Conger. Mrs. Conger was a member of Salem UMC and the Friendship Sunday School Class. She was an active volunteer at the church in various capacities as well as hospitals and helping to feed the hungry. She enjoyed bowling, square dancing and playing bridge. Mrs. Conger was a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. Surviving are her sons, Jeffrey Conger (Joan), Mark Conger (Jeff Elfeldt); grandchildren, Laura Elizabeth Conger and Matthew Jeffrey Conger. She is also survived by her sister, Ann Ussery (Robert).
