I’m Annette Collins, I went to a few family reunions Betty held. I’m related to her but really don’t know the Collins family tree. My father was Kelly Collins Jr. Just meeting Her a few times she treated me so kindly. I was just thinking of you a few weeks ago. R.I.P.

I worked with Betty in the College of Education during her time there as budget director. She served as my tutor in all matters budget in the College. I treasured her friendship and her generally high opinion of me. She was tough but ever dependable. I knew her as professor, associate dean and dean. I only learned of her death recently.

Cordially,

Some 45 years ago, fresh out of college and hundreds of miles from home, I became a secretary to the Assistant Dean at the College of Education at USC. Betty Guinan, my guardian angel, kept me under her warm, comforting wings and made sure that I felt secure and welcome. I will never forget this special , loving lady. I would like to send my condolences to her family and friends.

How saddened I am to hear of the passing of Betty. She was always a delightful person to see & greet during my membership years at Earlewood Baptist Church. She and my late husband, Larry B Davis, worked at USC during the same time frame. She always seemed to enjoy talking to Larry about different things pertaining to USC. Such a sweet lady!
To the family, just know I will have you all in my thoughts and prayers and I ask that God wrap his arms around you and know He will be there for all your needs in the difficult days ahead. May His blessings sustain you all as you remember your sweet family member! With deepest Sympathy, Lois J Davis

So sorry to hear about Ms. Betty. I remember her always being so sweet and making sure to speak to me and hug me when I would bring my mother to Earlewood Baptist. She will be missed .
