

Betty Hall Templeton passed away peacefully June 27, 2026. She celebrated her 90th birthday with family and friends on April 2, at Columbia Presbyterian Assisted Living Community where she was a resident affectionately known as BLT.
Betty was the daughter of Governor Vance and Mollie Mae Hall. She was born in Yadkin County, NC where she grew up with her nine siblings. She was a graduate of Union Grove High School in Union Grove NC. After graduation, she attended cosmetology school. She was married to Joel Dwight Templeton for more than 50 years. Joel passed April 16, 2006.
While living in Matthews, NC, Betty ran her own beauty salon for 20 years. Afterwards, Betty lived in Surfside, SC and worked more than 30 years for Walmart. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing and crocheting gifts for her family.
She is survived by her two children Allen Templeton (Pam) of Irmo, SC, and Suzanne Ballew (Stan) of Sandersville, GA; her four grandchildren, Tammy Walker (Phillip) of Adel, GA, Melissa Foote (Ben) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Kathryn Templeton of Irmo, SC, and Gwen Templeton of Charlotte, NC; and her two great-grand children Kaylea Ballew of Myrtle Beach, SC and Eli Walker of Adel, GA.
