A Memorial Service for Bradford A. “Brad” Peters, 32, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Gateway Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo.

Brad went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Meriden, Connecticut, he was a son of David and Brenda Barresi Peters. He was a member of Gateway Baptist Church. Brad was a 2002 graduate of Dutch Fork High School and was a Pricing Analyst with Southeastern Freight Lines. In 2015, his life was complete when he married the love of his life, Joyce. He loved working with his wife and father on house projects, spending time with his family, and golfing with friends.

Surviving in addition to his parents, are his wife, Joyce; siblings, Aaron Peters, Joshua Peters (Sarah), and Andrea Peters. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Mary Barresi; paternal grandparents, Richard and Jo Peters; and mother-in-law, Wendy Southwell.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to www.youcaring.com/brad-peters-657114 or Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital, at foundation@palmettohealth.org

Joyce and Family,

My heart goes out to all of you but especially you Joyce. You went through the same journey Brad did but just in a different way. Even though we may not know each other personally, we have passed here at work and spoken. Anyone could see how much Brad adored you. May God supply you with the comfort you need to face the days ahead. May it be some comfort to you to know that there are others that really care about you. Love and Prayers from your SEFL Family

Joyce, and all of brads family, my heart is broken with the news of your loss. I followed brads journey and felt for him as one of my own family. May God comfort each one of you knowing Brad is in His loving care and that his pain is gone now forever. May the love you all shared with Brad comfort you at this most difficult time. There is no greater loss, but God provides a wonderful promise for a time we will see our loved ones again. I pray, in time, your pain may be softened as all look forward to that time. Love and peace to you all❤
