Cameron Bruce Littlejohn Jr., passed on to dwell with the Lord on July 24, 2018. Born on September 9, 1950 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Honorable Cameron Bruce Littlejohn (Chief Justice South Carolina Supreme Court, Retired) and the late Inell Smith Littlejohn. Cameron was the loving husband of 40 years to Frances Littlejohn.
Cameron graduated from Wofford College in 1972 with a BA degree. He went on to graduate from The University of South Carolina School of Law. He served as assistant U.S. Attorney General before working in private practice for many years. Cameron was passionate about tennis, hunting, and fishing. He served as the president of the South Carolina Tennis Association and the Midlands Striper Club. He loved his family and friends fiercely and wanted to thank all of them for their help along the way.
His surviving family includes sister, Inell Littlejohn Allen (Dan) of Rockingham, NC; son, Justice Littlejohn of Columbia, SC; daughter, Amie Sowell (Jason) of Moncks Corner, SC; grandchildren, Ryder and Lola Littlejohn, Haven (Nicole), McCartney, and Maddie Sowell; and great-grandchild, Elliott Sowell. Cameron is also survived by his loyal and beloved dog, Marley.
A memorial service will be held at Union United Methodist Church, 7582 Woodrow St, Irmo, SC 29063 on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at 4pm. A visitation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union United Methodist Church for mission trips to Costa Rica 7582 Woodrow St, Irmo, SC 29063.
