

Funeral Service for Carolyn Kimbrell Seigler, 92, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Virginia Wingard Memorial United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the church. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo, is assisting the family. Mrs. Seigler passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015. Born in Fort Mill, SC in 1922, she was a daughter of the late Charles Sargent and Leila Belk Kimbrell. She was a former member of Reformation Lutheran Church and a current member of Virginia Wingard Memorial United Methodist Church and a volunteer with Washington Street United Methodist Church Soup Kitchen. Mrs. Seigler was a graduate of Columbia High School and attended the University of South Carolina before graduating from Mitchell College in Statesville, NC. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. During World War II, she worked at the Columbia Army Air Base and was a USO Volunteer. Mrs. Seigler retired from Kimbrell & Sons Furniture Store and later from Davis Funiture Company. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Cecil C. Seigler; sons, Michael (Nancy) Seigler, Richard (Tina) Seigler, David Seigler; grandsons, Bryan Seigler, Richard “Ford” Seigler, William “Will” Seigler; and granddaughter, Katherine “Kirby” Seigler. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Nancy K. Davis, Evelyn K. Seigler, Leila K. Page; brothers, William “Bill” Kimbrell and Crawford Sargent Kimbrell.
