Charlene Grant Wiedel

CHAPIN Charlene Grant Wiedel passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023, in Chapin, SC at the age of 65. Charlene was born April 12, 1958 in Camden, SC to Barbara West Grant, and the late Charles. L Grant.

Charlene cared deeply for her family and friends, and she always took the time to let them know. She instilled the values of kindness and a respect of others in her children.

Charlene enjoyed the thrill of a good thrift find, adding to her extensive collection of cookbooks and teapots. She especially loved spoiling her fur babies.

Along with her mother, Barbara Grant, Charlene is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Larry Wiedel; a sister, Jean Grant Salley (Henry); two daughters, Kimberly and Melanie; and many cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, 7600 Woodrow Street, Irmo, SC from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Wednesday, November 8, 2023. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel at 10:00 am Thursday, November 9, 2023. Her interment will be held in Fort Jackson National Cemetery following the service at 12:00 pm.
