Charlie passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 following an extended illness. Born in Greenville, he was a son of Otha Lamar Gray and Alice Elizabeth Farr Gray. Charlie was a local business owner for many years. He was active in the community helping others with random acts of kindness.
His greatest love was his family where he was the devoted husband of 38 years to DeAnna Gray; the loving father of Anna Gray Fender and Kaitlyn Gray Watson; and Pop to his granddaughter, Elizabeth Grace Fender.
Charlie is also survived by his parents, sons-in-law, James Fender and Shell Watson; siblings, Jim (Barbara) Gray, and Susie Tarbona. He was preceded in death by a brother, Glen Gray.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Helping Hands, Adult Daycare, Mr. Charlie’s Scholarship Fund, 2010 State Street, Cayce, SC 29033.
