Charles William Wooten Jr.

Charles (Chip) William Wooten, Jr. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. He will be missed by so many people. Chip was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Surviving Chip are his loving wife of 26 years, Jade; Daughters Lauren Roland and Britney (Daniel) Burke; Son Christoper (Cassandra) Wooten; Seven grandchildren he absolutely adored - Madison, Hunter, Mekenzie, Madelyn, Autumn, Skylar, and Liam; sister, Ginger Walter; Niece, Julia Walter. Chip was the only son of Bill and Betty Wooten.

He worked for Dr. Andy Suber at Capital Animal Hospital for over 39 years. He loved animals and animals loved him. He especially loved his dogs, Wallaby and Panda.

Chip loved to hunt and fish, and he really really loved to golf. He was a Clemson Tigers fan. (Go Tigers!)

He will be remembered as being kind, funny, generous, honorable and loyal. He was a selfless protector of his family and a friend to many.

A drop in Celebration of Chip's Life will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023, 2 - 4pm at 185 Lincreek Drive, Columbia SC 29212.
