Judy,
My deepest condolences to your family.
When Chevis lived in Seneca I was blessed to be his friend. Before you were married, I would attend churches with him where he would preach and I truly enjoyed our friendship.
The news of his passing was a shock and he will be greatly missed. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

The Chevis Durham family,
Chevis was a classmate of mine from Seneca High School. A couple of years ago we lost a classmate and from the tribute I paid to that classmate Chevis called me. We talked a long time and laughed a lot. What a great classmate and friend he truly was. He will be sorely missed. He was full of life and talked about his love for God throughout our conversation. It is sad I am writing a tribute in memory of Chevis. My heart was broken when I heard he had passed. What memories you will be able to remember about him. He was a wonderful man and loved God, his family, and life. God bless each of you. Please know you have many of Chevis' friends praying and supporting you during this sad time in your life.

Judy, I was a couple of years ahead of Chevis in high school but I knew his brother Ted and I think Ted lived down the road from my parents. Chevis would know as he could remember more about Seneca than I have forgotten. I loved reading his stories and memories of my hometown. I know you will miss him but he has left his mark on so many people he will not be forgotten.

Chevis was my classmate from Seneca High School. He was such a wonderful person and we enjoyed him at our last class reunion singing; he was such a gift ; he was just so lovable. I know that Chevis was a devoted family man to his loving wife and son/ and all of his family. I know that he was a devoted Christian. This man was just a true joy to know.

He will be very missed by all of us. But I know one thing: Chevis Durham is in Heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ.

My sincere condolences to Judy and all of the family for your loss. We share in your loss too but we know that God has brought this very precious person home. Love and sympathy, Debbie Pickens Hiller

I remember CW very well, he was fair and anyone who knew him knew that. As a retired SC state trooper myself, the best thing that I remember about him was how much he loved not only his family, but his Lord Jesus Christ. I will be attending the Church of God state campmeeting next week, and I will seeing him there. Stay encouraged in the Lord and rest in His love.

I will miss his phone calls to you at the office during the day and getting on the phone to tease him or hear one of his jokes! He always made me laugh and had such a sweet spirit! He sure loved HIS Judy, John, and his sweet Beau ! Please know that Brian and I are here if you need a single thing ! Love you girl ! xoxo

What a wonderful man. I have known Chevis since he joined The Highway Patrol. I was the Supply Officer and fitted him with his uniforms during his career. He was a friend of mine and always a pleasure to be with. Although I have not seen him in awhile I always have fond memories of him. He will be missed by me. It was my honor to have known him.
