As an acquaintance at family events, Chuck was always a pleasure for the engagement of friendly conversation, particularly relating to Columbia, SC, a city of which I have so many fond memories. He was an intelligent, gentle man on this earth, and will be sorely missed by his kindred. Chuck, if only there were more of you, we would be the inhabitants of a kinder, more forgiving humanity.
