I have missed you Clay....I will miss you for the rest of my life on this earth.

Unfortunately, I just found out about Clay's death this morning. I loved him VERY much...although, we lost touch in 2005. I met him in September 1998 at a Bible study called " GOD TALK". He and I both were 28 years old...and he was like a brother to me....Too many wonderful and caring memories to share. I rode by " his first home" of his own on Arborvine and just cried. Clay loved The Lord Jesus Christ... and C.S. Lewis was his favorite writer.... I LOVE YOU CLAY.... Even though we didn't stay in touch- I will always regret that and FOREVER LOVE AND MISS YOU... I had the pleasure of working with Clay here at DHEC. He had such a kind heart and loved meteorology! I remember a time when Clay took us on a field trip when we were in Asheville for work to show us where he studied meteorology...he was so proud and excited about it! He will be missed by many and we are all blessed to have known him!

Clayton, there are no words to express how much your friendship meant to me and how much the better my life is for your being in this world. You had the most beautiful soul of any person I have ever crossed paths with. Clay will be missed by many at SC DHEC. He was the kindest person you would ever meet.   He told me Friday in the hall as I was leaving work that the weather was going to be beautiful and for me to have a great weekend.  My toughts and prayers are with his family during this tragic time.
