David Robert Robert Tolleson

Funeral service for David Robert Tolleson, 23, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at St. Andrews Lutheran Church with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends and celebrate his life on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel.

Robert passed away Friday, January 8, 2016. Born in Columbia, he was the son of Andrew Robert Tolleson and Mary Lynn Fulmer Tolleson. Robert was a 2010 graduate of Irmo High School where he was athletic and enjoyed playing soccer, football, and baseball. He was a sports enthusiast who loved the USC Gamecocks and the Carolina Panthers. Robert was also a talented musician and enjoyed playing the guitar. He worked for many years as an engineering technician with his father at Tolleson Limited Company and was currently employed at Hope Valley Treatment Center in Dobson, NC. Robert had a compassionate heart and was caring towards those who were suffering and in need. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, grandson, and friend. He will be greatly missed.

Surviving in addition to his parents, Andy and Mary Lynn, are his sister, Elizabeth Glisson and husband Bobby, nephew and niece, Adam and Lucy. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Bob and Helen Fulmer and paternal grandfather, George R. Tolleson, Sr., aunts and uncles, Debra (Greg) Shepherd, Chip (Margaret) Tolleson, Woody (Claudia) Tolleson, Mike Tolleson, and cousins, Chris, Meredith, Spencer, Paige, and Emily. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmothers, Betty Lynch Tolleson and Rachel Hill Tolleson.
