

Columbia- Memorial service for Donna Dee Crump Lewis, 72, will be held 11:30 Friday, September 26, 2014 at Virginia Wingard United Methodist Church with entombment at Greenlawn Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:15 prior to the service in the welcome center at the church. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo will be assisting the family.
Donna passed away Monday, September 22, 2014. Born in Murphreesboro, Tennessee, she was a daughter of the late Charles Orman Crump and Lella Dee Colley. Donna was a ballet teacher for 40 years at Dee Crump School of Dance which was founded by her mother. Later she founded and directed Eboni Dance Theater. She was very involved with Ann Brodie during early years of Columbia City Ballet. Donna was a member of Virginia Wingard United Methodist Church, where she was an active choir member and she brought dance into the church.
Surviving are her son, Terrell Lewis (Renee); of Evans, GA, daughters, Melanie Dee Chu of Columbia, and Meredyth Ann Lewis (David Harrison), of Washoe Valley, NV; sister, Debbie Cromer (Jerry) of Edisto, SC; brothers, David Crump (Jeanne); Gwin Crump (Wendy), both of Chapin; and Gary Crump (Karen) of Waynesville, NC; grandchildren, Shu-nan Chu, Jonathan Chu, Anthony Chu, Elizabeth Lewis, and Jacob Lewis.
