Polly was born in Memphis, TN on July 5, 1940, to the late Joseph Perry Wrenn and the late Viola Ruth Wrenn. Besides her parents, she was predeceased in life by her husband of 41 years, Jerry Mac York, her daughter Maria Angela Quenneville, and Don Richardson. She is survived by her daughter, Heather Richardson-Grooms (Bob) of Columbia, SC, her Step-Son, Roger York (Tina) of Pensacola, FL, and two Step-daughters, Carmen Diaz and Jennifer Swan (Corby) of Mandeville, LA. Also, she is survived by 9 grandchildren; Joseph Russell, Tyler and Nicholas Parrott, Bailey Grooms, Sutton York, and Zackery, Kennon, Emma & Brody Swan. Also, one great-grandchild, Ryan Parrott. She also leaves behind her closest cousin, “like a sister” Rebecca Jeffrey of Germantown, TN.
Besides her family, Polly had an extraordinary love of animals, making many, generous, charitable donations to various animal causes. She will be reunited with many of her past companions as they cross the rainbow bridge to greet her.
Polly was a graduate of the Treadwell Highschool class of 1958 and often spoke of and thoroughly enjoyed their reunions. She went on to graduate as a Medical Technician, working for Memphis doctors; Dr. Parker, Dr. Segal, and Dr. Haimson. She worked in a clerical position at Chickasaw Cotton Company and further enjoyed a long, successful career in property management and real-estate in Dayton, Ohio, and Memphis, TN until retiring as Property Manager and RE Broker at Realty & Financial Services in Memphis.
Polly and Jerry were members of Faith Presbyterian Church in Germantown, TN.
There will be a small, private family memorial held at a later date.
