Edward Randall Fletcher, 81, of Lexington, SC, passed away April 1, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Jane Grimsley Fletcher of Oakleaf Village of Lexington. Randall was born December 20, 1942 to the late Oscar Edward Fletcher and Mary Frances Baker Fletcher of West Columbia. He was predeceased by his son, Stephen Craig Fletcher. He is also survived by his brother Thomas (Barbara) Fletcher of Burnsville, NC, sister Gayle Fletcher of West Columbia, and sister Suzanne (John) Umberger of Columbia, and loving nieces and nephews.
Randall grew up in West Columbia and attended Brookland-Cayce High School. He received his B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. He was owner of Walker Insurance Agency and enjoyed a long career in the insurance industry. He attended Saluda Baptist Church in West Columbia and proudly served in the US Navy and Navy Reserves.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, April 5, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, 7600 Woodrow St., Irmo, SC 29063. Visitation will be at 1:00 prior to the service. Burial will be private interment at Woodbridge Memorial Park, in Lexington, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jane and Randall Fletcher Scholarship Fund to benefit children, c/o Connie Maxwell Children's Ministries, P.O. Box 1178, Greenwood, SC 29648-1178.
