Edward W Hawkins Columbia-Memorial services for Edward Wainwright Hawkins, 86, will be held Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo.Mr. Hawkins passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014. Born in Vance Saskatchewan, Canada, he was the son of the late William Thomas Hawkins and Lucy Wainwright Hawkins. He served in the military with the Canadian Reserves. He retired from Bechtel Power Corporation as a mechanical engineer. During his career he worked throughout the US and New Zealand. Edward enjoyed do it yourself projects, as well as, being a tool and die machinist.A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he is survived by his wife, Jacqueline L. Hawkins; sons, K.W. Hawkins of Roswell, GA and T.R. Hawkins of Kilkenny, MN; daughters, Tammy J. Hawkins and Wendy L.
