Edward Sidney Rogers

COLUMBIA – Edward Sidney Rogers, 97, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Born on October 8, 1919 in London, England, Edward served in the Royal Navy during World War II. He became a United States citizen in the 1960s. He enjoyed a lifetime of friends and rich experiences through worldwide travel. He retired from Square D Company in 1987. Edward was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Dorothy Ivy Rogers. He is survived by daughter, Barbara Ann Rogers of Columbia; son, John E. Rogers (Selena) of Edisto Beach; granddaughter, Catherine B. Wallace (William) of Annapolis, MD; and great-granddaughter, Bennett E. Wallace of Annapolis. Barbara and John.
Ed was a great friend of many years and Beryl and I had many good times with Dorthy and him. A long and rich life well lived. He will be missed along with Dorthy.

Thinking of the Roger's family during this time. I worked for Mr. Rogers a few years before he retired. Thought the world of him & Dorothy.
