A memorial service for Elizabeth Matheson Gault, 84, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Chapin United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Jody Flowers and Rev. Paul Allen. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. prior to the service in the fellowship hall. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, is assisting the family.
Mrs. Gault passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016. Born in Clio, she was a daughter of the late James Alexander Matheson and Nora McLauren Matheson. She was the wife of the late Thomas Gault. Mrs. Gault was a member of Chapin United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Red Hat Club and loved gardening and shopping.
Surviving are her daughter, Deanne Easterling Catoe (Thomas Dwayne); grandchildren, William C. “CJ” Hinson, Jr., Jordan E. Hinson; stepgrandchildren, Madelyn Catoe and Nicholas Catoe. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Eison and Ann Holland.
