COLUMBIA - A funeral service for Frances “Fran” Edwards Jowers, 84, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, with burial in Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jowers died Friday, December 9, 2022. Born in Moultrie, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Horace Franklin Edwards and Mary Ouida Stewart. Fran was a member of Riverland Hills Baptist Church, where she was active in the Fellowship Sunday School Class and the Baptism and Communion Committee. She was an avid gardener who loved to grow flowers. Most of all, she loved her family.
Surviving are her husband, William L. Jowers; daughter, Kimberly Jowers Mims; son, William Gregory Jowers (Deana); five grandchildren, Jason Brown (Amanda), Hunter Mims, Anna Jowers, Bryce Jowers, and Avery Jowers; two great-grandchildren, Henry Brown and Evelyn Brown; and brother, Fred Edwards.
