

IRMO - A funeral service for Franklin Delano Rogers, 88, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2022 at New Heights Church. Burial will be private in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, is assisting the family.
Mr. Rogers went to his heavenly home Monday, February 7, 2022. Born in Anderson County, S.C., he was a son of the late Milton and Mary Singleton Rogers. A graduate of Williamston High School and veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in Korea, he retired from Young-Phillips Company in Winston-Salem, N.C. He was a longtime member of Springdale Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Cayce Masonic Lodge #384. He was a current member of New Heights Church. From the age of seven, he was an avid Clemson fan. He loved to fish and loved being on the water boating and skiing and spending time with his family. His sense of humor was tremendous and he loved to make people laugh.
Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years, Earline David Rogers; daughters, Tracy Davis (Mike), Karen Bingham (Eddie); grandchildren, Hunter Lawton (Lauren), William Bingham, Katie Bingham, Lauren Davis, Andrea Davis; brothers, Harold Rogers, Joe Rogers, Larry Rogers. He was predeceased by four brothers, Milton Rogers, Charles Rogers, Rudolph Rogers, Paul Rogers and two sisters, Margaret Haltiwanger and Elnora Coker.
