Born in China, he was a son of the late Ging-Min Liu and Chiu-I Wang. Mr. Liu received his Ph.D. from the University of Missouri at Columbia, retired as an engineer from SCE&G and was a professor at Midlands Technical College. He enjoyed tennis, basketball and swimming.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy C. Liu of the home; and daughter, Shirley Liu of Calif.
