Bill J. Myers, 88, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017. Born in Amity, Arkansas, he was the youngest son of George N. and Kathryn McMinnis Myers. Bill was the husband of 63 years to Vonnie Mumford Myers. He proudly served the United States in the USAF during WWII as well as the Korean War. He retired from Weingarten’s Grocery where he was Store Manager for many years. Surviving in addition to his wife, Vonnie, are his son, Mike and wife, Lynn; grandchildren, Leigh Ann Chmura (Tom), Lindsay Head (Sammy), Katie Dew (John); six great-grandchildren, Ellie, Hollis, Gabby, Banks, Riley, and Elliott. He was preceded in death by six brothers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Union United Methodist Building Fund, 7582 Woodrow Street, Irmo, SC 29063.
