

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glady Ondina Martinez, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left us on August 23, 2024, at the age of 84. Gladys was born on December 14, 1939 in Villanueva, Honduras to Zoila and Elis Suazo.
Gladys's life was a testament to love, resilience, and kindness. She dedicated her life to her family and community, always putting others before herself. Her nurturing spirit was evident in everything she did—from her careers as a postal employee and Seamstress.
As a mother, Gladys was unparalleled. She is survived by her 4 children, Edwin, Ricardo, Roberto, and Anuar, who were the light of her life. Her wisdom, support, and boundless love were the foundation upon which her family stood. She taught her children valuable lessons about love, integrity, and perseverance that they will carry with them forever.
Gladys was also a cherished grandmother to Sean, Mya and Jacob, sharing her zest for life, joy, and wisdom with the younger generation. Her legacy of love will continue to inspire and guide them throughout their lives.
Gladys will be remembered for her indomitable spirit, her infectious laughter, and her unwavering faith. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel special and valued. Her home was always a warm and welcoming haven filled with love, delicious meals, and open arms.
Gladys is reunited with her late husband Felix Martinez in heaven. She also joins her brothers Ruben and Mito and is survived by Thelma, Tesla, Shelly, Nelly, Bessy, and Oscar.
A celebration of Gladys’ life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel.
