

Glenna Langley Rowland, age 92, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a rich legacy of love, laughter, and creativity. Born on February 23, 1934, in Frost, West Virginia, to the late John Henry Langley and Carrie Dreppard Langley, Glenna’s vibrant spirit touched everyone who knew her.
She was the devoted widow of O.D. "Buddy" Rowland, her beloved husband and partner for over half a century, whose love and companionship were a cornerstone of her life.
Glenna is lovingly survived by her sons; Christopher (Shannon) Rowland, Mark (Scott Caton) Rowland, and Mike (Betty Lindler) Rowland; her cherished grandchildren; Justin, Jotanna (Robert Freeman), Jackson, Hannah, Nick, and Zach; and her great-grandchildren Charlotte, Genevieve, Langley Ann, and Andre. She was also a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.
A devoted member of Lake Murray Presbyterian Church, Glenna’s passions extended beyond her faith. She was an avid tennis player, a creative force in the Crooked Creek Art League, and a flower show enthusiast who found joy in garden clubs. Her artistic talents shone through her love of painting and cooking, which she shared generously with family and friends.
Glenna’s adventurous spirit led her to explore the world, traveling to remarkable places such as Germany, Italy, Jerusalem, and China. Known for her wonderful sense of humor and friendly nature, she was the life of any gathering and loved to celebrate life with those around her.
Her warmth, creativity, and zest for life will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A memorial service will be held at Lake Murray Presbyterian Church on June 17, 2026 beginning at 11am.
