

Gwendolyn "Gwen" Prosser Dallaire, born on August 28, 1945, in Johnsonville, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home in Irmo, South Carolina, on December 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Gwen was married to the love of her life, Jimmy Dallaire, with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished memories. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Jamie Dallaire; her parents, Wilma and Lorris Prosser; and her brother, Carthen Prosser. She is survived by her devoted daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Eddie Crim; her three adored grandchildren, Cody Crim, Mackenzie Crim, and Grayson Crim; her loving sister Janice Bazen (Gerald); and her brother Ronnie Prosser. Gwen’s love also extended to her many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
An avid reader and talented crocheter, Gwen found joy in creating beautiful works with her hands. She was a wonderful cook and baker whose meals and baked goods brought comfort and togetherness to those around her—a gift she lovingly passed on to her granddaughter. A passionate fan of the South Carolina Gamecocks, she delighted in sharing this enthusiasm with her grandsons. Gwen’s warm and welcoming spirit, ever-present smile, and kind nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, January 6, 2025 at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church, located at 120 Marydale Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m., with burial immediately afterward at Elmwood Cemetery, 501 Elmwood Avenue, Columbia, SC 29201.
