

LEXINGTON – James “Jim” George Lamprinakos died Monday, December 14, 2020. Born in Raleigh, NC, he was a son of George James Lamprinakos and the late Esther J. Stathacos Lamprinakos. Growing up in Asheville, NC, he was a graduate of Lee H. Edward High School and a graduate of Mars Hill College. He worked as Regional Sales Director for Dr. Pepper Snapple Group. Jim was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
Surviving are his wife, Melodie Lamprinakos of Lexington, SC; father, George James Lamprinakos of Asheville, NC; son, George Lamprinakos (Rachel) of Lexington; two grandchildren, James and Marie Lamprinakos; one aunt; and numerous cousins.
He was predeceased by his mother, Esther J. Lamprinakos and his sister, Eugenia Stella Lamprinakos.
Trisagion Prayers will be recited at 9:45 a.m. Thursday, December 17, 2020 with funeral service following at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Burial will be in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory in Asheville, NC at 3:00 p.m.
