

James was born on April 22, 1962, and grew up in South Glen Falls, New York. Throughout his life, James was known as a hard worker, a loyal friend, and someone you could always count on. He worked in the Food industry and later found his passion as a baker, where his love of cooking and baking could truly shine.
Those who knew James will remember his wonderful sense of humor and his ability to keep an upbeat spirit no matter what life brought his way. If you ever asked James how he was doing, you could almost always count on hearing his signature response: "Just fabulous!". That was James---positive, warm and ready to make someone smile.
Above all else, James loved his family. He cherished his wife, Susan E. Tracy of Irmo SC, and his four children: Renee Tracy of Cayce, SC; Son, Ryan Tracy of Citrus Springs, Fl; James Tracy, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth Tracy of Chapin, SC; and Alicia Follin and her husband Patrick Follin of Orangeburg, SC, and her husband Patrick Follin. He was a proud grandfather of eight grandchildren, who brought him tremendous joy and whom he loved dearly.
James also had a special place in his heart for his beloved fur babies, Scooby and Ohana, who were an important part of his family.
In his free time, James enjoyed listening to country music, cooking, baking and fishing. Whether he was working hard, spending time with family, enjoying on of his favorite pastimes, or simply sharing a laugh, James had a way of making the people around him feel welcomed and loved.
James leaves behind a legacy of hard work, loyalty, laughter and love. He will be deeply missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, extended family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Funeral Services will be held at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, 7600 Woodrow Street, Irmo, SC 29063 on August 29, 2026 at 11:00AM.
