

Janann Buckman Nevins, of Irmo, SC joined her Heavenly Father on May 27, 2022, following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born in Peoria, Illinois on January 15, 1949, Janann was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Buckman Sr. of Peoria, IL and is survived by her mother, Annabell Buckman of Metamora, IL; husband, William “Bill” Nevins and daughter, Nicole Bishop (Michael), both of Irmo, SC; son, Christian Nevins (Lisa) of Cape Coral, FL; her brothers, Gerald Buckman Jr. (Maryann) of Orlando, FL, Mike Buckman (Lauri) of Kansas, MO; and sisters, Lisa Keyser (Jim) of Metamora, IL and Gina Schaber (Mike) of Peoria, IL. Janann was a beloved grandmother to five grandchildren, Kathryn, Elizabeth, Christian Jr., Andrew, and Gracie. She was also a great-grandmother to Cameron.
Janann and Bill were married in Peoria, IL in 1970 then moved to South Carolina to begin their fifty-two years of marriage. Janann was a beloved wife and mother. She greatly enjoyed the fellowship of family and loved participating in annual family reunions at The Lake of the Ozarks, located in central Missouri. Janann enjoyed many years of service in the retail sales industry, initially with the Sears and later with the Belk Corporation.
Funeral arrangements and memorial services are being provided by Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, in Irmo, SC. The family requests that in lieu of gifts or flowers, memorials may made to one’s local or national Alzheimer's Association.
Janann's family is very grateful for the exceptional care provided by the Heritage at Lowman and Lutheran Hospice, and to our loving Heavenly Father for all He has provided. Romans 8:18
