Born on February 8, 1974, Jason was born and raised in Irmo, where he remained a lifelong resident and attended Irmo schools. His roots in the community ran deep, and Irmo was always home.
Jason spent approximately 30 years working in the pool business, building a career through decades of hard work and experience. In 2019, he married his wife, Casey, with whom he shared the years that followed surrounded by family and those closest to him.
Above all, Jason will be remembered through the family he leaves behind. He is survived by his wife, Casey Derrick; his son, Brandon Derrick; his daughters, Madison Johnson and Morgan Johnson; his mother, Dolores Derrick; his sister, Debbie Albertson (Macon); and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father; John W. Derrick Jr.
A memorial service will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church on Saturday, October 24th at 2:00 pm. A visitation will follow in the church Fellowship Hall.
