Service for Jeanne Snow Kamoutsis, 76, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2014 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
Mrs. Kamoutsis passed away Monday, August 18, 2014. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late Richard L. and Lillian Otto Gavey. She was the wife of the late Theodore “Teddy” Kamoutsis. Mrs. Kamoutsis was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Irmo Ward. She was devoted to her family and loved helping her community. She was active with soup kitchens, food pick-up, driving others to doctor’s appointments or anywhere they needed to go. Mrs. Kamoutsis was a member of the Eastern Star for over 50 years and was former Grand Matron of the state of New Jersey. She was also a member of the “Turtles”.
Surviving are her son, Wayne Snow; grandchildren, Morgan Snow, Jordan Snow and Ian Snow. She is also survived by her sister, Gail Gavey; nieces, Cathy, Sara, Lillian; nephews, Bruce, Craig; and special friend, Lauri Rawlins.
