So shocked and saddened to learn of Mike's passing. During our family's adventures raising chickens several years ago, Doug and I came to realize what good neighbors we had in you guys, Mike and Penny. Your interest in and kindness to our kids--as they pursued our errant hens and roosters onto your property and even onto Mr.Cecil and Miss Ann's--was much appreciated! Can only imagine how difficult these days have been and are for all of your family, but we are remembering you all and trusting that the One who gives us life and every good thing is also able to bring you comfort in proportion to your need at this time.

So many years as your neighbor watching Mike and his sister grow along with my three. What a great neighborhood to grow up in. Praying for the Lord to be with all during this time of grief.

Penny I remember when I meet you I liked you right off. I am sad for your lose. But, it gives me comfort knowing how happy you made Mike.
The love just radiates from both of you. That's something wonderful and I hope you can find peace knowing many people admired the two of you. Mike will be missed. But, you and the kids are the ones who will miss him the most and my prayers are with you and your family. Monica

Penny, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
As the sadness caused by Mike's passing surfaces, and it does, I focus on my memories of visiting the granite shop and Mike's contagious laughter. Those memories allow for a smile to come to my face. The big guy would keep me laughing until my sides hurt.
During this difficult time I believe Mike would want me (Us) to do our best to smile and laugh. Mike, while I'm here I promise to honor your memory by doing my best to make others smile and laugh.
Until we meet again, I'm going to miss you my friend.
