He was born in Glassport, Pennsylvania in 1949 and later resided in Cranberry Township, PA. He and his wife, Patricia, moved to Irmo, S.C. so they could be closer to their grandchildren. Jerry proudly served in the United States Air Force and loved wearing his Air Force hat. Jerry enjoyed hunting, golfing and playing guitar in his spare time.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 49 years, Patricia; daughters, Catherine and Dana Fuhr (Greg); and grandchildren, Samantha and Lance Fuhr.
Jerry will forever be remembered for his dedication to his country and love for his family, especially his girls.
Family will receive guests for an informal Celebration of Life at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel in Irmo, S.C. on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. Burial in Fort Jackson National Cemetery will be announced at a later date.
