

COLUMBIA - A funeral service for JoAnn Joye DuBose, 82, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Three Rivers Baptist Church, with burial in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 until 7:00p.m. at the Dunbar Funeral Home at 7600 Woodrow St, Irmo, SC 29063
JoAnn passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. Born in Hemingway, SC, she was a daughter of the late Joseph M. Joye and Edna Bazen Joye. She worked for SCE&G as a Senior Customer Service Representative. She loved her church and spending time with her friends studying God’s word, quilting and sewing. Dearest to her heart was her family and investing in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
JoAnn is survived by her childhood sweetheart and husband of 64 years, Willis Roger DuBose, Jr.; son, Willis R. “Chip” DuBose, III of Columbia, SC; daughter, Deborah DuBose Hamilton (James P.) of Columbia, SC; 7 grandchildren, Corey Hamilton (Katie), Christie Hamilton, Candice Gower (Jeremy), Ashlyn Wall, (Mickey), Darby DuBose, Bryson DuBose, Alston DuBose; and 8 great grandchildren, brother Billy Joye (Katy) of Graham, NC, sisters, Cathy Brown of Clayton, NC, and Mary Cook (Andy) of Garner, NC. and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother Harry Joye, sister-in-law Pat and brother-in-law William.
