Katherine Marie Tompeck

Born on September 29, 1985 in Martin Memorial Hospital in Stuart, Florida, Katherine was the daughter of Stephanie Tompeck of Morris Plains, NJ and the beloved little sister of Kristen Tompeck Noyes. Katherine grew up in Morris Plains, NJ and loved to spend her summer vacations on Fripp Island in South Carolina with her mother’s large extended family. After graduating from Morristown High School in 2004, Katherine made her way back down south to Columbia, SC in order to attend the University of South Carolina.

Katherine spent many years working in the service industry and never met a stranger. She always had a smile on her face and treated her patrons like they were her family. She had a contagious laugh that could light up the room. Katherine loved spending time with her friends and family and going to the beach whenever she could. Katherine was most proud to be a mother and cherished her daughter, Emery.

A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel. A visitation will follow the service at the funeral home.

Katherine leaves behind to cherish her memories: her mother and sister, mentioned above; brother-in-law Mark Noyes, along with two nieces Sarah Noyes (6) and Meredith Noyes (2) of South Korea, where her sister Kristen currently teaches high school on a U.S. Army base; beloved daughter Emery Kate Morris (7) and partner Kevin Morris of Chapin; cousins Elizabeth Montesano, Erika Delco, and Jennefure Goeltz of Long Island, NY; and many beloved extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Katherine can be made to a college fund for her daughter Emery Kate Morris.
