IRMO – Kathy Dobbins Burgess, 69, died Tuesday, March 9, 2021. Born March 7, 1952 in Boaz, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Floyd W. and Bernice Fox Dobbins. She was a devoted wife of 53 years to Danny Burgess. Also surviving are her children, Suzanne B. Burgess of Columbia, Jordan Williams (Hope) of Lexington, and Eli Williams of Columbia; grandchildren, Blaize and Haven Williams; brother, Johnny Lacks (Patricia) of Jacksonville, Alabama, George Dobbins of Boaz, Alabama and Bob Dobbins (Penny) of Columbia; and her cat named “Carl”. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Dana Williams.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
