Kay Hook Cross

IRMO - A graveside service for Kay Hook Cross, 83, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2021 in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Cross died Thursday, April 1, 2021. Born in Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late Leath O’Burl Hook and Katie Kathreen Martin Hook. She was a longtime member of Eau Claire Presbyterian Church and currently a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

Surviving are her son, Chuck Stillinger (Linda) of Lexington; daughter, Sherry Walker (Bob) of Irmo, SC; sisters, Sudie Smith and Ellen Andrews, both of Lexington, SC; and two grandchildren, Tiffany Fuller (Kent) of Newberry, SC and Kelly Hagood (Justin) of Lexington; and great-grandchildren, Hunter Rabon, Leighton and Blake Hagood.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Jesse W. Cross. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Attn: SC Gift Processing, 4600 Park Rd, Ste 250, Charlotte, NC 28209.

Kay was so much more than a babysitter to us. Our whole family loved her. What a blessing she was to all of us! The memories are so good and so special. We are so fortunate to have had her in our lives. She was the best!
