

Kellene was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She was born on August 3, 1935 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Mahlon Kellie Hawkins and Nelda Mae Vreeland.
Kellene spent most of her life in Wichita, Kansas, where she attended North High School. She enjoyed traveling, staying busy playing various card and board games with her friends, along with spending time with her family. Her final years were spent in Lexington, SC.
Kellene was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Wright, and her brothers, R. Kell Hawkins and Rex C. Higgins. She is survived by her son, Randy Wright (Jenny); her daughter, Debbie Stang (John); grandchildren, Jeffrey Oldenburg, Steven Oldenburg, Kimberly Gomez, Taylor Rich, Brandon Wright; seven great grandchildren; along with many significant others and step grandchildren.
A drop in will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 pm on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, located at 7600 Woodrow St, Irmo, SC 29063. The graveside service will be held at a later date at Resthaven Mortuary and Cemetery in Wichita, Kansas.
