

Stacey grew up in Irmo, SC, graduate of Irmo High School in 1987, where he forged many friendships that continue today.
Stacey’s early career was with SC Federal Savings and Loan where he and Katrina met. He then worked many years at SC Credit Union League, before becoming Regional Sales Director at (TSG) The Sourcing Group where he thrived and formed family-like bonds with his co-workers.
Stacey loved playing on the softball team while at the Credit Union league. He also loved camping with his cousin, Chuck. He was a great bowler and has two 300 rings to prove it. He loved virtual golf at CW’s and outdoor golf as well. He coached his son’s soccer team for many years. The one thing he was most proud of was watching Chris grow into the exceptional young man he is today and the role he played in it. Stacey was a man of faith and taught Sunday School and headed the Property Committee at McGregor Presbyterian.
Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Katrina Corcoran Gibson, his son Christopher Armour, his father Neal Gibson, his sisters Dawn Streett (Rob), and Hope Gibson McKinney. He was predeceased by his mother, Brenda Anne Gibson.
Stacey also leaves behind many beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and dear friends who will miss him greatly, as well as Michael Armour, with whom he shared a cherished parent-like bond.
Visitation will be held at Dunbar Funeral Home (Irmo) on Friday, July 17 from 4pm to 7pm. The service will be held at McGregor Presbyterian Church (Irmo) on Saturday, July 18 at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Stacey's memory to the Mayo Clinic – Jacksonville, MayoClinic.org/life or McGregor Presbyterian Church.
